Get Her Oscar Look: Amy Adams.
CoverGirl Celebrity Makeup Artist, Molly R. Stern had the honor of doing the makeup for Amy Adams at last week’s Academy Awards.
Molly said that she went for a classic, simple, flawless face; “Amy is a natural beauty and you never want to over compensate on makeup. As a makeup artist I believe in never overdoing any look – makeup should accentuate the face not cover it.”
Here is what Molly used and how she applied the products to make Amy as stunning as she was on Oscar night:
Face:
- Sheer foundation to show off the skin
- Foundation is used sparingly where needed to create a flawless look
- Product: CoverGirl TruBlend Liquid Makeup in Natural Ivory – this foundation goes on sheer and smooth and blends flawlessly with skin for a natural, hassle-free look
- Product: Chantecaille Powder was used over the foundation to set the look
Cheeks:
- A warm depth was added to Amy’s cheeks by using cream blush
- Cream blush gives the skin a luminous glowing appearance as if the color is coming from within
- Product: NARS Cactus Flower and a dust of Shu Uemura Amber 89 Glow created a bright rosy look with a burst of Amber color on top for added depth
Eyes:
- Created a full eye look using the entire surface – lid to crease
- Splitting the eye in half I created a smoldering eye by smudging copper and taupe under the eye
- I wanted to add depth and dimension to Amy’s look while keeping it natural
- Product: Starting with the outside of the eye I used Vincent Longo Eye Soufflé in Copper Leaf and Armani Eye Shadow in Maestro. Then inside I used NARS cream blush in Corfu
- Product: I created a full bold lash by using CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara. Starting at the base of the lashes I gave Amy’s eyes two coats. This thickening and lengthening mascara is great for the red carpet
Lip:
- Product: CoverGirl Outlast All-Day Lipcolor in My Papaya. I love this color! It is a rosy, earthy, lollypop color that really popped off Amy’s complexion.
- It was not to bright but not to nude, it really suited her perfectly
Thank you to Molly R. Stern and CoverGirl for the information.
